Major Recruitment are currently seeking experienced assembly operatives to join our well established manufacturing/engineering company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis
Our client, a well-established manufacturing engineering company, committed to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions to our customers. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operative to join our production team
The Role
As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling components and products in line with technical specifications and quality standards. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components using hand and power tools
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
- Conduct basic quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Report any faults, defects, or issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in line with health and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role preferred (but not essential)
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings is an advantage
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
